The Manager – Revenue Cycle Systems is responsible for the oversight, optimization, and support of revenue cycle technology platforms and system workflows across a defined division. This role serves as the primary liaison between revenue cycle operations, IT, and external vendors to ensure system functionality aligns with operational goals, regulatory requirements, and financial performance objectives. The Manager leads system implementations, enhancements, and standardization efforts across multiple facilities, ensuring consistency in workflows, data integrity, and reporting. This role also supports revenue cycle performance improvement through system configuration, automation, and analytics.
Essential Functions
Oversees daily functionality and performance of revenue cycle systems across the division, including patient access, billing, coding, and collections platforms.
Leads system implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and financial outcomes.
Collaborates with Revenue Cycle leadership, IT, and vendors to define system requirements, prioritize enhancements, and resolve issues.
Ensures standardization of workflows and system configurations across facilities to support enterprise best practices.
Analyzes system performance, identifies gaps or inefficiencies, and implements solutions to improve revenue cycle outcomes.
Supports reporting and analytics by ensuring data integrity and optimizing system reporting capabilities.
Coordinates system testing, validation, and training for new implementations and updates.
Develops and maintains system documentation, workflows, and user guides.
Monitors regulatory and payer requirements to ensure systems are configured for compliance.
Serves as an escalation point for complex system issues impacting revenue cycle operations.
Partners with operational leaders to align system functionality with business needs and performance goals.
Leads or participates in cross-functional projects related to revenue cycle transformation and technology.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
Strong knowledge of end-to-end revenue cycle workflows (patient access through collections).
Proficiency in healthcare information systems and reporting tools.
Ability to translate operational needs into system requirements and technical solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a complex, multi-site environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills across operational and technical teams.
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, payer rules, and compliance standards.
Ability to lead change initiatives and drive system adoption.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Information Systems, or related field (preferred)

Experience
5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, systems, or related field (required) And
Prior Experience with revenue cycle systems (e.g., patient accounting, EHR, billing platforms) (required) And
Prior Experience supporting multi-site or divisional operations (preferred) And
Prior Experience with Meditech and/or Artiva (preferred) And
Prior Experience with system implementations, upgrades, or process improvement initiatives (preferred)
