Serve as a multi-functional member of the patient care team under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).  Support the RN staff through regularly organizing and facilitating two or more functional roles of the patient care plan of which may include the following: Nurse Technician, Unit Secretary, EKG Technician, and Monitor Technician.  Accurately and promptly communicate with the nursing staff, patient, family, and patient care team as required.


Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Must be licensed in the state of Georgia as a C.N.A., Medical Assistant, or be currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing with successful completion of “Fundamentals of Nursing” or EMT certification.
  • Basic Life Support required
  • Certified EKG Technician (CET) preferred

Experience

  • One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred

Skills

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
