Responsible for personnel, management, and the coordination of nursing service activities for the scheduled working shift, in accordance with established philosophy, objectives, and policies for the hospital to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care and takes charge, in the absence of the Director of Nursing Services.

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Education
Associate’s degree - Required
Graduate of an Associate's Program in Nursing - Required
Graduate of a Bachelor's Program in Nursing - Preferred
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS)
ACLS required - Hospital
ACLS preferred - TBC
Licenses
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Georgia
Minimum Work Experience
Two (2) years of acute care nursing experience. Charge Nurse experience is preferred.
