ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Uses appropriate protocols to perform specified exams and adjust Ultrasound equipment. Uses appropriate transducer.
  • Records and takes pictures of valves & heart function of chambers.
  • Assesses patient and reports any changes to supervisor and/or physician.
  • Monitors equipment and reports malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Must complete all education assigned and required for the position including classroom and on-line courses.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Must work effectively as a team-member.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
X High school diploma or equivalent X Required

Minimum Education
Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, a certificate echocardiogram program or an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Ultrasound program.

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
