Job Summary
The Clinic EMR Support Specialist serves as the primary resource for training, support, and troubleshooting of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system within physician practices. This role collaborates with clinic staff, administration, and IT teams to facilitate EMR development, workflow analysis, optimization, implementation, and content training. The specialist ensures efficient use of EMR systems by both clinical and non-clinical users, contributing to improved practice operations and patient care.
Essential Functions
Develop and deliver training programs for clinical and non-clinical users of the EMR system.
Support onboarding and EMR setup for new provider offices and clinical departments.
Test, evaluate, and implement new EMR software features and system updates.
Analyze clinical workflows, data processes, and technical issues to enhance system efficiency.
Document software training procedures and user guides.
Implement and prioritize requested system changes.
Resolve EMR-related issues through helpdesk calls and on-site visits conduct root cause analysis as needed.
Collaborate with EMR vendors and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
Identify and apply best practices in EMR training and system implementation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
Regular, reliable attendance required.
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
Additional duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role. (Preferred) And
Associate’s Degree in healthcare related field (Preferred)
Licenses/Certifications
Other: RMA, CMA, MA or LPN Upon Hire (Preferred)
Experience
1+ years experience utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) (Required) And
2+ years experience in a medical office setting (Required) And
2+ years experience with AthenaHealth EMR software (Preferred)
