POSITION SUMMARY:The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) will provide services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. The MOA will also provide direct patient care by utilization of the nursing process in accordance with the established Department’s Policy and Procedure Manual and will assist in assigned administrative tasks, and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs. The MOA will assist the physician with all procedures done in the office. The MOA will perform triage patient calls, process referrals, authorizations, schedule surgeries. Good communication skills and computer skills are necessary as well as the ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care.
QualificationsLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
LPN - Required
Current-Basic Life Support (CPR) by end of week one orientation
