Description

Offer $5,000 2 year Sign on Bonus for Full Time MLT or MT. 

The Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician is responsible for the analysis of patient specimens in accordance with laboratory protocol using moderate to high complexity test methods. The incumbent will perform testing in all the following laboratory areas: blood bank, chemistry, coagulation, hematology, immunology, microbiology urinalysis and may include phlebotomy as needed.The technologist works as part of a medical care team and is able to carry out task assigned independently in an organized method to meet patient care needs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all patient specimens are resulted accurately and on timely manner.
  • Maintains records and documentation in accordance with laboratory requirements..
  • Demonstrates organizational commitment.
  • Answers the telephone in a friendly and helpful manner, by incorporating the company name, self-identification, and a helpful statement.
  • Must always adhere to safety protocols.
  • Implement professional Standards of Behavior for medical staff and exhibit personal behaviors consistent with organizations core values.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by laboratory leadership team.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Preferred:Nationally recognized certification.

Minimum:Nationally recognized certification or equivalent within 1 year of hire .(Non-traditional routes to establish skill level may be accepted after review of education, training, and experience if recognized as acceptable under CLIA ‘88 mandates.)
