Position Summary
The Radiologic Technologist will provide diagnostic services in a timely and efficiently manner, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department.The Radiologic Technologist will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Imaging Services Department’s Policies and Procedures and will assist in assigned administrative tasks. Verifies patient and procedural information; prepares patients for exams; educates patients and family members; performs exams, communicates and transmits reports to physicians; complies and organizes data for radiologist; stocks, prepares and cleans exam rooms; may schedule patients for procedures and transport patients.The Radiologic Technologist will maintain clinical competencies through participation in Hospital and Departmental educational and orientation programs.
QualificationsPosition Requirements:
A.Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Certification-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Certification-Basic Life Support (CPR)- with in 30 days of hire
B.Education:Graduated from an approved Joint Review Committee of Radiologic Technology program
