For over 60 years, the citizens of Anderson and surrounding counties have depended on the healthcare facilities in Palestine. Serving approximately 100,000 people, PRMC provides 150 beds with a highly skilled staff of healthcare professionals. A full range of comprehensive care is offered, including the latest in diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Works under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Physician. Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within the objectives, standards, and policies of the department and within the parameters of his or her preparation. Cooperates with the members of the nursing, medical staffs, office staff and other hospital departments. Assist Physician as needed with in-office procedures. Establish and maintain medical records pertaining to patient care, including vital signs, medications, patient and family histories. Schedule surgeries and submit prior authorizations to insurance companies. Order and manage inventory for medical supplies within the office setting. Patient education and teaching. Telephone Triage. Scheduling appointments and answering phones. Maintain patient friendly environment.


Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 Minimum education Graduate of a LVN program and currently licensed. 

Required Licenses Licensed Practical Nurse Current LVN license to practice in the State of Texas

 Required Skills Excellent customer service skills. Self directing, able to work with little direct supervision. Empathy for the physical and emotional needs of others. Effective oral and written communication skills of the English language. Treats patients, coworkers and others with courtesy and respect, presenting a positive public image. Works well as a team member. Ensures confidentiality and security of patients' medical information.
