Works under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Physician. Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within the objectives, standards, and policies of the department and within the parameters of his or her preparation. Cooperates with the members of the nursing, medical staffs, office staff and other hospital departments. Assist Physician as needed with in-office procedures. Establish and maintain medical records pertaining to patient care, including vital signs, medications, patient and family histories. Schedule surgeries and submit prior authorizations to insurance companies. Order and manage inventory for medical supplies within the office setting. Patient education and teaching. Telephone Triage. Scheduling appointments and answering phones. Maintain patient friendly environment.
QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education Graduate of a LVN program and currently licensed.
Required Licenses Licensed Practical Nurse Current LVN license to practice in the State of Texas
Required Skills Excellent customer service skills. Self directing, able to work with little direct supervision. Empathy for the physical and emotional needs of others. Effective oral and written communication skills of the English language. Treats patients, coworkers and others with courtesy and respect, presenting a positive public image. Works well as a team member. Ensures confidentiality and security of patients' medical information.
